Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using BuckOracle: Deer & Trail Cam AI ("BuckOracle", "the App"), operated by Yun Wei ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy at https://buckoracle.com/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The current Terms are always published at https://buckoracle.com/terms.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the App.
2. Service Description
BuckOracle helps you organize trail-camera photos, recognize and follow individual bucks across seasons, and make better-informed herd management decisions. AI analysis returns estimates — species, sex, age-class probabilities, and an antler score range with a confidence level. The free tier includes 5 AI analyses per device per day; a Pro subscription removes the daily limit and unlocks additional features.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store account as in-app purchases and renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel at any time in your device's Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; to avoid renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices may change; existing subscribers will be notified in advance as required by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
4. AI Estimates Disclaimer
Every analysis BuckOracle produces is an AI-generated estimate provided for reference — it is not a measurement. Scores are always presented as a range with a confidence level, and age is always presented as probabilities; that presentation reflects genuine uncertainty, not styling. Estimates are not official scores under any scoring system (including Boone & Crockett or Pope & Young), are not professional wildlife-biology advice, and can be affected by image quality, angle, lighting, and animal posture.
You are solely responsible for the decisions you make in the field; for obtaining the proper licenses, tags, and permissions; for complying with all applicable game laws and regulations in your jurisdiction; and for confirming property and land boundaries. BuckOracle does not provide legal advice and does not determine property lines. We make no promise that any estimate will match what you observe in the field.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: (a) use the App in violation of any law, including game and wildlife regulations; (b) upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful; (c) attempt to reverse engineer, probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or circumvent the free tier limits; (d) use BuckOracle's output to misrepresent an animal's estimated score or age to others, including in any commercial dealing.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, the BuckOracle name, and its design are owned by Yun Wei. Photos you import remain yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process the photos you choose to analyze and to show you the results; processing is transient, and we claim no ownership of your photos or your data. Analysis results are provided for your personal use.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; AI analysis depends on third-party providers and may be temporarily unavailable.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yun Wei will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Yun Wei from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access to the App or to particular features if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm the service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — survive termination.
11. Apple App Store
These Terms are between you and Yun Wei only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the App, and any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are our responsibility. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, together with applicable U.S. federal law. Before bringing any claim, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction and venue.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published at https://buckoracle.com/terms with its effective date. If a change is material, we will let you know in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Severability & Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Yun Wei regarding the App, and replace any prior agreements on that subject.
